Privacy Privacy

What data we collect, what we use it for and what you can do about it. In plain language, like everything else here.

This is an English translation of our Spanish privacy policy, provided for information only. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is LECOBITS SL, tax ID B-70959994, registered at Provenza 287, Principal 2, 08037 Barcelona, Spain.

For any privacy matter you can write to us at hablemos@lecobits.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), website and the message you send us.
  • Email or phone: the data you give us when you write or call us directly.
  • Browsing data: pages viewed, device and approximate location, through Google Analytics and only if you accept analytics cookies.

We don't collect special categories of data (health, beliefs, origin…) and we don't carry out automated profiling that makes decisions about you.

3. What we use it for and on what legal basis

Answering your enquiry

Dealing with what you ask us and, if it fits, preparing a proposal for you. Legal basis: your consent when submitting the form and our legitimate interest in managing the business relationship.

Managing the project

If we end up working together, we process your data to perform the contract and to meet our tax and accounting obligations. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligation.

Measuring how the website performs

Knowing which pages are of interest so we can improve them. Legal basis: your consent in the cookie notice, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a project: one year from the last contact. Client data: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the period required by tax and accounting rules (six years). Analytics data: according to Google Analytics' retention periods.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell or transfer your data. It is only accessed by the providers we need in order to work, acting as data processors: the website's hosting and email provider, the analytics tool (Google Analytics), the cookie consent management platform and our accounting and tax advisers.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case the safeguards provided for by the GDPR apply, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, and request its portability. You can also withdraw your consent at any time.

Just write to hablemos@lecobits.com stating which right you want to exercise. If you believe we haven't handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

7. Security and changes

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connection, restricted access and backups.

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this same page together with its update date.
